Teave:
Audiophile-level sound reproduction goes mobile with the M15 Hi-Res Lossless Portable Music Player from FiiO. The M15 leverages multiple pieces of hardware and technology to help create an mobile high-resolution listening experience that you can fit in the palm of your hand. It two AKM AK4499EQ DACs, Samsung's Exynos 7872 processor, 3rd generation FPGA technology, two Japanese NDK femtosecond crystals, and more. Altogether, they work to minimize noise, distortion, jitter, while accurately reproducing digital audio files as close to the original recordings as possible.
A hallmark of FiiO's portable aesthetic, the 5th generation columnar design gives the M15 concave sides to help provide a better grip when holding the device. Operating the M15 is done via the nearly borderless 5.15" display that features 10-finger multi-touch, 1440 x 720 resolution, and protective Corning Gorilla Glass. There are also physical buttons on the side for basic operation, including a customizable multifunction key. On top is a knurled potentiometer volume knob plus three headphone outputs – 2.5mm, 3.5mm, and 4.4mm.
Aside from its high-quality chips and processors, and the intuitive touch and physical controls, the M15 provides software and networking support for various wireless formats and expansive codec support. The M15 also supports PCM formats up to 768 kHz/32-bit, DSD up to DSD512, MQA 8x track decoding, Hi-Res audio, global All to DSD functionality, Bluetooth transmission and reception, and USB decoding. You can also play-back audio online via the Android-based operating system and support for dual-band Wi-Fi.
Upgradable Storage
You can store your lossless music files on 64GB of internal memory that can be expanded with (optional) microSD cards up to 2TB in size.
Four Listening Modes
Listen in one of four ways: online in Android mode, from the device in Pure Music mode, from PC files as a USB DAC mode, or streamed from a device with Bluetooth Decoding mode.
Long Battery Life
The M15 features a 7490mAh LiPo battery that's capable of providing up to 15 hours of playback per charge, and up to 1800 hours of standby time.
Fast Recharging
The M15 supports Quick Charge 2.0, MTK PE, and USB Power Delivery methods of quick-charging the battery.
Dual AK4499EQ Flagship DACs
With four channels per chip, the DACs are capable of decoding up to 768 kHz sampling rate and DSD512. They offer a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 140 dB and a THD+N as low as -124 dB.
Qualcomm CSR8675 Bluetooth Chip
This chip is designed to provide complete Bluetooth audio format support, low latency, and fast transfer speeds. When transmitting, it supports SBC, aptX, aptX-HD, LDAC, and HWA. When receiving, it supports SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX-LL, aptX-HD, and LDAC.
NDK Femtosecond Crystals
Two NDK femtosecond crystals allow for phase noise as low as -140 dBc/Hz at 1 kHz offset. They also work in conjunction with the FPGA clock algorithm to lower jitter and provide a more accurate clock for the DAC.
Parts & Technology
High-precision 0.1% tolerance, low temperature drift, ultra-low noise film resistors
Four low-loss polymer tantalum capacitors, four Panasonic electrodeless film capacitors, and eight small film capacitors
28 x 220uF low-loss polymer capacitors and 5 x 100uF high-voltage capacitors for ample power reserves
Eight 4-way independent Panasonic metallized film capacitors
8-layer ultra-thick immersion gold PCB for better space utilization and less interference between digital and analog circuits
Independent shielding for digital and analog circuits and special absorbent material meant to block interference and absorb 2.4 GHz waves
Customized thermally conductive silicone, graphene, and copper-nickel-zinc alloy heatsinks. These are meant to conduct internal heat to the outer shell for dissipation into the air
Balanced Architecture
To ensure every detail is heard without sacrificing bold dynamics, FiiO includes two high-precision, low-noise, low-temperature-drift TI OPA2211 op-amps for the low-pass filter, four OPA1612 chips for IV conversion, and one OPA1622 per channel for amplification.
Active Servo Power
With active servo power technology in the final amplification stage, the M15 changes power output depending on your custom settings. For example, if you pair with in-ear monitors, you can have the M15 optimized for minimal noise, or you can enable Big Driver mode to drive a pair of 300 ohm headphones.
Single-Ended & Balanced Power Output
Under a 32 ohm load, the single-ended output power is 490mW, and balanced output power is up to 800mW. Under a 300 ohm load, single-ended is 70mW and balanced is up to 275mW.
Pro-Audio Volume Adjustment
FiiO employs ADC curve reconstruction in the analog potentiometer volume knob to help solve volume imbalance between the left and right channels. You can also set the volume knob to adjust the pulsar light brightness, so volume adjustment can have both an auditory and visual effect.
All to DSD
With "All to DSD" turned on, various kinds of harmonic distortion in your music are more uniformly distributed to achieve a more comfortable and fatigue-free listening experience.
