The Record Stabilizer is a pressure weight that allows you to press the vinyl plate firmly against the vinyl.

Because a plate is not flat, unwanted resonances and slip can occur between the plateau and the vinyl.

Thanks to the use of the Record Stabilizer, the platter of your turntable and the vinyl become as good as one.
The vinyl gets a seemingly much higher mass, which lowers the resonance frequency. Unwanted resonances can be effectively removed via the plate to the platform and slippage of the plate is eliminated.
