BTB605MS-MAM (Midnight Arctic Ocean Matte) BTB Multi Scale 5-string. Bass Workshop.
BTB605MS is an instrument that is part of the Ibanez Bass Workshop series.
Ibanez Bass Workshop is a bass department at Ibanez that works under the motto ?From Concept To Reality?, where the goal is to develop new and exciting bass concepts. Or to test existing, but odd, concepts. Here you will find instruments that take electric bass one step further, odd birds packed with innovative thinking for those who want to take their bass playing one step further.
BTBMS is a series of BTB basses equipped with fanned frets, which is a method of having different scales on different strings, so-called multi-scale fingerboard. This is done, among other things, to get optimal scale length for all strings. Low strings sound significantly better, firmer, tighter and more stunning, with a longer scale while the thin strings become hard, plonk and very difficult to play with as long a scale as the low strings need. Fanned frets, multi-scale, are the solution to this, tight and stable low tones and highs with maintained snap and warmth.
