RG470AHM-BMT (Blue Moon Burst). Ibanez electric guitar.
An RG guitar from the Ibanez Standard range. Well-built guitars for those who want the Ibanez feel and look but at a lower price without compromising too much on quality.
The guitar is lacquered in a blue finish where the grainy ash body shines through.
The guitar has a Wizard III neck which is a slightly thicker version of the popular Wizard profile, it is also a slightly rounder and softer profile than Wizard and Super Wizard. It also has a radius of 400mm instead of the Wizard neck's 430mm.
A very nice neck for those who want a little more wood in their hand without the neck being thick, stiff and clumsy. A fast and very easy-to-play neck equipped with 24 well-ground jumbo frets.
The body is made of ash, which is a fairly robust type of wood with an even frequency reproduction over the entire register. This makes it a wood that, in terms of sound, is easy to color in many different directions and get many different kinds of sounds out of it. The even frequency reproduction also makes it very suitable for distorted sounds, it glues the sound together nicely without it being either scattered or indistinct.
The bridge is Ibanez's excellent Edge-Zero II, a stable bridge that holds the tone incredibly well.

The pickups are connected to a 5 -mode switch with common tone and volume control.
The modes you can access on the switch are,
1. Bridge mic in series*
2. Bridge mic split** together with center mic
3. Middle mic
4. Neck mic split together with center mic
5. Neck mic in series
* Series , both coils on the mic are connected in series one after the other and the mic gives as much output and power as it is designed for. If you read about the mic on the manufacturer's website, this is the mode that is described. The mic is then hum canceling and completely silent.
** Split, that the mic is split means that one of the two coils of the mic is switched off and becomes a singlecoil (only one active coil). This means that you get half the output and power the mic has when the coils are connected in series. The mic loses its hum canceling ability when a coil is turned off. But modes 2 and 4 are hum suppressing and still quiet as the active coil on the stand (mode 2) or neck mic (mode 4) is connected in parallel with the center mic.
It produces a softer, brighter and more open sound with a cleaner, clearer and firmer bass. A sound that suits very well clean and semi-distorted sounds (or for all intents and purposes, to open up even a hard-distorted sound). Since only one coil is active, you can choose whether you want the active coil towards the bridge or towards the neck, which affects how it sounds, warmer closer to the neck and brighter closer to the bridge.
