The A140XL is made of high quality phosphor bronze which is an alloy consisting of copper, tin and a small amount of phosphorus in a manufacturing process that ensures a high and consistent quality. Compared to 80/20 Bronze strings, the Phosphor Bronze strings are more balanced with a less prominent treble. And the addition of phosphor means the strings can keep their good sound for longer than 80/20 strings.
