The metronome can be adjusted in tempos where the 4 parts are 30 - 252 bpm. You can adjust the tempo manually in 1bpm increments or use the Tap function and tap the tempo on the Tap button to find the right tempo. You can choose from 9 different time signatures and 8 subdivisions.
You can plug in a pair of headphones and hear a click sound at the right tempo in these or choose to hear the metronome in the built-in speaker. The display has both arrows and a pendulum to show the tempo. On the back you'll find a fold-out stand so you can place your MA-2 on a table when practicing.
The MA-2 also has selectable tuning from C4-B4 so you can tune your instrument without having to pick up another device.

Timer Mode
Built into the metronome is something called Timer Mode where you can set an interval when the metronome goes silent. This is a practice feature to see if you can hit the same tempo again even if the metronome has stopped.
