When just starting out, most producers kit out their studios with a pair of nearfield monitors. There's plenty of choice, and these compact units are more than good enough for smaller set-ups. As a result, each speaker vibrates more tightly, lending the reproduced audio maximum sonic accuracy. All in all, the SC4070 covers a 32Hz to 25kHz frequency range, which is definitely vast enough for the full-range sound of, say, orchestra music.

Since it weighs in at a total of 1000 Watts of power, it's safe to say you won't need any hearing aids with this studio monitor. Loud kettle-drums are blasted out in all of their glory, and the unit can be set up either vertically or horizontally since the mid-section (the mid and the tweeter) are rotatable.
