Thornton Vivid 4 is a 4-channel mixer with built-in sound card, effects, Bluetooth and MP3 player. It is suitable for small audio tasks, while giving you the necessary tools to play music, either wirelessly via Bluetooth, via a USB key or via a computer. In addition, Vivid 4 has a built-in sound card, so that you can use the mixer as a recording mixer (2-track L/R) together with a computer and an associated computer program.

The compact Vivid has 4 channels, where the first 2 channels both have built-in microphone preamplifiers with XLR connectors and line inputs. Channels 1 and 2 also have built-in phantom power, so you can use the Vivid 4 with condenser microphones that require power. Channel 3/4 is a combination channel that you can either use to combine 2 line signals, or that you can use as a stereo channel for keyboard, electric piano or other stereo sound sources. Each channel has its own gain control with overload section, and you get a comprehensive tone control section with both treble, midrange and bass control.

The mixer has a built-in MP3 player, so you can plug a USB plug directly into the mixer and control the music directly from Vivid. You can even connect to an MP3 player via Bluetooth and play music wirelessly via a smartphone or tablet, or you can connect to a computer and play your music from there.

It's hard to make a good sound mix without good effects. Vivid is therefore also equipped with an effects processor with 16 digital effects that you can use to add depth to a vocal or acoustic guitar or to other instruments that would benefit from a boost. If you have an effect of your own that you want to use with the mixer, you can also do this via the mixer's built-in send/return circuit, and the Vivid even has inserts on channels 1 and 2, which is usually something you only get in a long way more expensive mixers.
