The DDP-80 is a so-called "no-nonsense" electric piano that fits into most homes. It takes up almost no space, has a beautiful wood finish, can do most of what a regular acoustic piano can do (and then some), and only requires a wall outlet because it has a built-in amplifier and 2 speakers.
It has 88 hammer-weighted keys that are well suited for all types of pianists. Whether you are a beginner and want to learn how to play with really weighted keys or are an experienced pianist who wants a keyboard that resembles an acoustic piano.
The DDP-80 has several great and practical features that make it an excellent addition to an ordinary home.
Unlike an acoustic piano, you can adjust the volume both up and down on this piano. And if you want to play in peace or not disturb others, you can connect headphones so that the DDP-80 is completely silent to everyone but you. And if you want to play for a lot of people, the DDP-80 also has a stereo output that you can connect to a PA system.
Keyboard
The DDP-80 features a full-weight hammer action keyboard with 88 keys that simulates an acoustic piano very accurately and responds precisely to the force you apply when you play. Therefore, it is a really good digital piano that can replace an acoustic piano or grand piano, whether you are a beginner or experienced, and whether it is for home entertainment or for teaching or learning.
Advanced sound module and built-in speakers
The sound module in the DDP-80 is built around the highly acclaimed DREAM sound circuit, so you can expect the highest quality piano sound from the DDP-80. What's more, it has a whopping 128 notes of polyphony, so no matter how complex the music you play or how much you use the included pedals, you'll never run out of opportunities to give your piano music a huge dynamic range - from very subtle and muted to very powerful and dramatically, without having to adjust the volume up or down.
All this fantastic sound quality is conveyed in an excellent way by the powerful built-in amplifier system and the 2 stereo surround speakers of 20 watts each.
If you need to play in a quiet environment, you have the option of connecting a pair of headphones to an output on the DDP-80, which is optimized for headphones, so that you get the best possible experience. In addition, there is a line output so you can also connect the DDP-80 to a PA system.
Compatibility
The DDP-80 is MIDI-compatible and has a USB output, so you can use it for self-study, composition or teaching through online courses or apps. You can also connect it to music editing software on a computer and use it for high-quality recordings.
