More appropriately the name could hardly have been for the latest version of the Framus Mayfield, which set milestones of the electrified guitar design in itself. Except for the fingerboard, selected Mahogany is used for the whole instrument. This creates an instrument with a big, warm tone that carries the character and which is also expected from the guitar.
Responsibly for it is the classical Hollow body construction with Sustainblock and glued neck as well as the high-class P 90 Soapbar pickups of the Californian specialist Seymour Duncan. The electric tone of a Mayfield Legacy fascinates by warmth full of sound and the penetration ability as only one P-90 can deliver. A combination which matures under use of the most modern guitar construction technologies on a quality which absolutly deserves the predicate "Made in Germany".
