Advanced Auditorium
For this purpose we strived to create something completely new, a series of instruments, imbued with old-fashioned, hand-built and rare qualities.

In these instruments we use the highest quality woods and are designed with uncompromising attention to detail and represent the highest peak of Ibanez acoustic guitars for design and tone.

The body shape is created to achieve high playability combined with a well-balanced and well-sounding sound that "settles" equally well in the studio as on stage, whether you play solo guitar or in an ensemble.
A specially designed XM bracing provides a wide sound and good projection (how the instrument throws the sound). A rich and long sustain that works well for both plectrum and fingerpicking.

A.IR Port is for better hearing for the guitarist. Hole in the side towards you. It's a great feature. A clear trend among acoustic guitars, but no major brand offers it at an affordable price point. Plus, what the others have is basically just a hole drilled into the body.
Ibanez felt there had to be a better way to improve listening.
After trying many different sizes and types of holes and designs, they settled on the perfect sound port design, placing angled wooden blocks that throw the sound out of the port. They also decided to apply it to a wide range of models.

The body has a solid Sitka Spruce top with Sapele sides and back.

Getting electronics, preamps and microphones into acoustic instruments is always a compromise with the acoustic sound of the instrument. On the AAM model, this compromise has been made as small as possible by using a very compact active preamp. to affect the acoustic sound as little as possible.
The guitar retains its acoustic tone while having a stable, good-sounding, natural and interference-free, plugged-in sound.
