Swamp Ash Special Rosewood McCarty Tobacco Sunburst
The PRS Swamp Ash Special brings its own unique look and tone to the PRS Bolt On series. The swamp ash body is equipped with the versatile humbucker/single coil/humbucker pickup set. Two 58/15 humbuckers flank the PRS Narrowfield pickup in the centre position, adding single coil bite without the hum. With the 5-way switch, the two mini-switches for splitting the humbuckers, this instrument has a whopping 12 different mic configurations that can be further coloured with the tone control.

The Swamp Ash Special features a maple neck with a rosewood 22 fret fingerboard and a 25" scale. Lockable Phase III action and PRS's own Gen III tremolo are additional traditional PRS attributes found on the Swamp Ash Special model.

The sum of a tight low register and an upper register that is clear without being harsh provides a tone with "twang" suitable for most styles but perhaps country, jazz or blues in particular.
