Your phone does not receive any audio signal with a regular minijack cable, also called TRS. It should use a TRRS plug to get through, and you get that by putting the Record AC-TRRS-TRS in the extension of the minijack cable from your microphone.

Record AC-TRRS-TRS is a TRS-to-TRRS adapter, designed to connect a microphone with a 3.5 mm minijack output to smartphone devices with a 3.5 mm TRRS input. The Record AC-TRRS-TRS can also be used with stereo microphones, where it combines the left and right channels into a mono signal, to make it compatible with a TRRS input.
