Thornton Pure 35
Pure35 is a set of well-playing and neutral studio monitors from Thornton. The set consists of a passive speaker without amplifier and an active speaker with a built-in 50 watt class D amplifier. The active speaker just needs a little power from the mains and a sound source, and the Pure35 set is ready to work.
Pure35 is ideal for use in your music studio, TV/film studio or anywhere else where you need neutral sound reproduction.

Pure35 is equipped with a 3.5" bass/midrange driver, a 1" tweeter tweeter and a bass port. One of the speakers has a 50-watt Class D amplifier built in, and this is what will drive both speakers.
There are balanced L & R inputs for jacks and unbalanced L & R inputs for phono sockets, and there are controls to adjust both the high and low frequencies so you can customise the Pure35 to the room they'll be playing in.
The cabinets are solidly built in wood and have a fine finish.

Bluetooth is built into the Pure35, so you can stream audio to them without the need for cables.
Thornton has placed both the on/off button and a volume control on the front of the active monitor, so you don't have to fumble around on the back of a monitor to switch them on, off and turn them up and down like you do with many other monitors.

A line in input is built into the front of the active monitor if you need to play audio from a non-Bluetooth audio source, and there is also a headphone output if you need to be able to really listen closely to some of the sound you produce.

Finally, Thornton has fitted a switch on the Pure35 so you can specify which side the active monitor is placed on. This feature is very handy if you have a studio, for example, where you can't sit equally close to both monitors. All inputs, outputs and controls are located on the active monitor, and it's handy to have easy access to them when you're busy producing great sound.
